It was just me for a long damn time. I'd play manic, blistering, 12-string finger-picking solo slide-guitar assaults that left my fingers bloody and my strings broken. It was a hell of a thing, but something was missing.

Turns out that missing bit was a 5-foot nothing non-token blonde (she was real insistent about the "non-token" part....) with a voice like oiled smoke.

Loud oiled smoke.

Sometimes it just takes a woman's touch.
